Tracy's workshop and presentations
UW Madison Social Worker Conference, Finding Your Happiness While Advocating for Others Presentation (Tracy & Haywood)
Absolutely excellent. A day workshop would be great. I feel liked I learned a lot about the topic and the speakers were awesome! I will definitely be using all of the content in my everyday life. There were so many great concepts that I can use professionally and personally. Many easy practical skills and interventions to put into place.

Tracy is a wonderful presenter on happiness. I’d encourage attending her inspiring and informative session.
Emily, Flourishing Through Gratitude Presentation
Your presentation was very well-thought out and organized. You are someone that all moms can relate to and your experiences are the same things that all people encounter. I think you gave a great introduction to gratitude. I enjoyed the practical applications of gratitude in my daily life. This is a topic that I have wanted to explore more, but have not given the time to or known where to start. I think that your background knowledge and real-life experiences with gratitude help people see that it is something anyone can do and does not require large amounts of time.
I liked that you had your blog and workshop information available for people. Thanks again for speaking!
Julie, The World Needs More Happiness Starting With You Workshop
I just took the positivity class with Tracy and Haywood. My husband and step daughter also attended the workshop. I swear the timing was kismit - as it has been a very stressful period in our lives. I work full-time in a demanding, sometimes stressful job (social work), I have a 2 year old, an adolescent and a young adult step children. I help support my mom, who is a widow with a limited support system. My husband and I have stuggled with issues co-parenting with his ex wife and have been in the family court system- which has taken a significant financial and emotional toll on all involved. We needed some help re-focusing and re-directing our energies!
I have been on the mindfulness bandwagon for some time and have tried to find time to meditate and do self-care. There just never seemed to be enough hours in the day! I cherish my time with family outside of work and it felt selfish to go off and meditate/workout - even though I know I need to re-charge.
I looked initially to this class to help my husband look at a different way of seeing things, to find a better way of coping with stress. In the end, I feel we all really benefited and I found the tools I learned here to be very easy to access and use everyday, without feeling so overwhelming. Gratitude is huge. TAG...Thankful, Appreciative, Grateful. Learning about our energy and getting back what we put out and trying to change the interactions we have and the world was very powerful. Small short meditations/loving kindness that we can do internally walking to a meeting, while on the elevator, or the midst of a stressful interaction. Breathing. Opening my heart vs. putting up my fists. Different ways of looking at things and different ways of approaching difficult situations.
I have been following the blog and really "get" how Tracy explains things and feel energized by her messages. The reading Tracy suggested and has on her blog I found to be very inspiring and I am making time for myself to read again.
I would recommend the positivity classes to anyone! I had a lot of ah-ha moments in the class. I liked the pace and materials provided. We got a recording of it too, so if I need to go back and refresh its right there. I actually really liked the diversity of the topics covered and the hodgepodge of tools. It was financially very reasonable and left me with a lot of great tools. I feel like I have come a long way since the classes doing just simple, manageable things.
I feel like this class was just the beginning on our journey and path of personal growth. Thanks so much to Tracy and Haywood for providing this resource and making my/our world better.
